New Admin Tracking

I have created a new plugin targeted at tracking what our admins do on the server. We have been receiving a lot of admin complaints and we are listening. So I am just going to bring you guys up to speed on this all.

There are going to be two parts to this new software application.

The first part is the in-game admin command monitoring. I have already written a vast majority of this and we are actually running it as we speak. Any time and admin uses certain admin commands a record that you used it will be added to a global database.

Depending on the level of command other things may happen as well. For example if you use amx_kick or the kick menu, once you kick someone a question will appear asking you why you kicked that person. You will be required to choose and option from a pre-defined list. This answer will be stored incase anything else comes out of this.

If you ban someone, not only will the above happen, but all the players on the server will be polled to see what they think of you kick. They will be able to choose between did not see the situation, too strict, strict, fair, soft, too soft and outright admin abuse. This will give us input as to what people think of how our admins act and also give feedback to admins so they know how other players view them in the server. These votes are COMPLETELY anonymous - there is no way at all for anyone, including myself, to know how you voted against an admin.

That is the ingame part of the software. On the website I will be creating tools to view what commands an admin users, how often and against who. Admin will be able to see the results of the votes on things they do. Players also will be allowed to rate admins individually, again this will be anonymous. They will also be allowed to change their vote if they feel an admin is improving. We will allow players to also post messages to the admin anonymously to help the admin learn where he or she needs to improve. These messages WILL be checked before the admin gets to read them by other admins to ensure hate mail does not reach the person it is directed to.

We also will introduce a new way to fight admin abuse. Any time a command is used on a player the player will have an option on the site to request a review of the use of the command against the complainant. They will be able to choose the exact command and start the process. The system will let the complainant post a message, screenshots and demos and allow other admins to respond with the same options. In the end the complaint will be either rejected or accepted. If accepted a vote will be started and ALL admins can cast a vote on the appropriate action to be taken. The action to take will be decided upon in the comment process. A lot of this process will be setup to run as easy and simple as possible.

There is still a lot of work to be done but I figured I'd update you all as to my plans. The first stage has already started, hopefully I'll have more to show you all shortly

Psychostats Reset

I have reset the psychostats as per the new year, so start working your way up the ladder!!!

Forgot to mention it is currently compiling the stats and may take up to two weeks to complete (theres 50,000 log files it has to scan and read into the database).

New Website

We are currently working on upgrading the website to the newest management version.  It requires us to change templates.  The site is still a work in progress but I figured we may as well launch it now and fix the bugs before the site gets hacked again.  Anyway please bear with us while we fix and re-install all the plugins we had on the old website.
