Hey Guys,
I realize the server hasn't been up long, however we are due to pay for our new connection. So soon! I know! But yes, it has been a month now that we've had an active connection with them. They want some moneh! So please if you can donate it would be appreciated. We need $175 to cover our month to month. It's expensive I know. Please donate. They will be shutting us off soon. We currently only have $5 in paypal. I am going to sell our old motherboard which should get us about $150 but that wont be until next month. So please donattttee!
If you are wondering where I have been - I have been super busy and some new software for the server. It should help us solve the problem in regards to the lack of players on the server during off hours. I have already spent about 40 hours developing it and I figure it will require another 40 hours before it's ready to go. It will allow ANYONE to help us fill our server with players with little effort. It is pretty exciting.
I will have the stats and the ninja jump working shortly. I will then work on the map uploader and a the chat logs/demos.

Great News, The CS Server is ready and the Web server got its final touches a few moments ago. They will be put live Tomorrow!!

Server Being Exploited

Hey guys!
First off I want to say donations have been great and we have been hitting our mark every month. If you are donating every month - please keep doing so. We are just getting in the $100 month we need without much extra. Thanks!!!!
As for the recent crash we had on Sunday at around 10am. We were attacked by someone using a well known script out there that takes advantage of an exploit in HLDS and basically causes the server to shutdown over and over. Although it is well known, I have not been on enough to have learned about it. Because of the attack I have done my researched and plugged this, as well as a new exploit that just came out 5 days ago. We should now be immune from this style of attack.
If you see ANY problems like this please post a message in the forum ASAP. Please DO NOT assume I already know about it. Even if I do know it would be best if you post a message. In the event that I don't notice it will help notify me sooner.
And to the script kiddies out there who think they can hurt Vir's Pub: BRING IT ON BITCH! Sure you may be able to affect things for an hour or two. But it's the MONTHS of uptime you can't stop that make you the amature you are.

Server Shutdown

First I really want to thank those who HAVE donated - sorry we have so many freeloaders. However we came up $70 short and I cannot cover that. I have shutdown Vir's Pub and MonctonCS for 24 hours. If we get the remaining amount before then I will turn it back on earlier. The server will run for 24 hours after that period and if we still have not reached our goal it will be shut off for 48 hours. I will continue this process adding in 24 hours each time.
I know this is harsh but I don't know what else I can do. I put in $25 into the pot already and I'm just as broke as everyone else. Common guys we can do this! I don't like having to go to these extremes. Times are tough but I know people spend that on smokes, drugs, movies, junkfood and all sorts of stuff in a month. I think for the amount of time people spend on this server asking for $10 is well worth the price.

Donations have not reached $200

We have not met our $200 mark for October. We are $95 short. I'm hoping one last beg on my behalf will let us reach the mark for this month. So PLEASE donate today. If we have not reached our mark by the time I get home I will be forced to shutdown the server until we reach our mark. Please keep in mind we only have November and then we will finally be caught up and it should be a simple matter to raise $100 from there in.
So you guys have until tonight to donate. Please donate! I don't want to shut things down.

Hey guys,
First off I got the server back up and running after it locked up. Had to reboot it remotely as it was completely locked.
Now that it's back up I figured it's time to remind people that the month is about to end and we are quite a bit behind for this month. We have about $60 for this month so we are quite a bit lower. Please remember we only have this payment and next payment at $200 and then we finally drop to $100/month and we will be good to go.
Please donate. I will follow through will my plan of shutting down the server until we have the funds to continue. We cannot run on empty.
